What is the Medienforum Mittweida?
The Medienforum Mittweida is the largest media congress organised by students in Germany. It takes place on two days each November. This year it will be held on the 23. & 24. November.
What can you expect from the Medienforum Mittweida?
The Medienforum Mittweida offers inspiring keynotes, interesting talks and exciting workshops with speakers from well-known companies throughout the media industry. Thereby current topics of the national and international media world are examined. In the Recruiting Lounge, you have the chance to establish new contacts with prestigious companies for your future.
When does the Medienforum Mittweida 2022 take place?
The Medienforum Mittweida takes place on the 23. & 24. November 2022.
How much is the entrance fee?
The attendance is completely free.
Who organises the Medienforum Mittweida?
The Medienforum Mittweida is a project, organised and implemented exclusively by students.
Who can attend the Medienforum Mittweida?
The Medienforum Mittweida is not solely for media students. The livestream is available for all faculties, media interested people, and media professionals. Everyone interested in the media world can attend the main event.
What are the keynotes?
The keynote is a 20- to a 30-minute-long talk held by the speakers, discussing innovative topics or the latest trends in media. Particularly interesting are the panels. They consist of multiple keynotes about similar topics. That way, the students can get a general idea of the work routine and they have the opportunity to look behind the scenes.
What can you expect from the talks?
Our several talks are all about the interaction between the invited guests and the audience. There will be panel discussions debating current topics but also norms and values in the media. The speakers can exchange their thoughts about the audience’s questions.
What can you expect from the workshops and how can you apply for them?
The workshops are just right for people who want to gain new creative and valuable skills. The participants receive practical tips from real professionals and have the opportunity to work on small projects. The application takes place on our website.
What is the Recruiting Lounge and how can I apply for it?
In the Recruiting Lounge, the participants have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the large companies of the media industry. Students can interact with therepresentatives of the companies in the form of speed dating. Maybe they can even negotiate an internship. The application takes place on our website.
Can I submit topic suggestions for the Medienforum Mittweida?

Our Medienforum Mittweida will be broadcasted via livestream on our website and on the YouTube channel of the media faculty.
