On Thursday, October 29rd, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, we’re inviting you to the TV studio at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences (Ludwig-Hilmer-Bau, Building 39). Doors open at 6:30 pm, no registration required!
Look forward to inspiring alumni from the media degree programs, who are now successful professionals in the industry. In an open talk, they’ll share genuine insights into their careers, talk about how they got started, and reveal how they achieved their goals.

Meet the speakers
Lukas Fuchs
Lukas (B.A. Media Management, HSMW) gained his first professional experience at 99drei Radio Mittweida before completing a traineeship at Regiocast. Today, he works as an editor and radio presenter at LandesWelle Thüringen. In addition, he is active as an event host and DJ.
In his session, Lukas will provide practical insights into the day-to-day work of a journalist, share his career journey, and explain the different pathways to securing a journalism traineeship.
Sandra Ziegenbalg
Sandra (B.A. in Media Management, HSMW) works as a Senior PR Consultant at Scholz & Friends, one of Germany’s leading advertising agencies. After completing her studies, she gained extensive experience in the field of public relations. Gain insights into the tasks and responsibilities involved in working as a PR Consultant and discover valuable perspectives Sandra can share from her professional experience.
Daniela Möckel
Daniela Möckel (M.A. Media Management, HSMW) works as a Media Officer for the first team at RB Leipzig. She studied Media Management at the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida from 2014 to 2017 and then completed a master’s degree.

Thorsten Schäfer
Thorsten (B.Eng. in Media & Acoustical Engineering, HSMW) is the Founder and CEO of T Squared Solutions. He also works as a Broadcast Engineer. He will talk about the beginning of his career in broadcast engineering. Thorsten will share insights into his work as an independent lighting designer for live events and broadcast productions. He will also highlight the wide range of career opportunities in media technology and audio engineering.
